Worship,
Walk with, and Work for Christ
Process of
Sanctification and Maturity
|
|
Mature
disciples worship Christ, walk with Christ, and work for Christ. A
person committed to a relationship with Christ focuses on personal walk
with Him, worship of Him, and work for Him. That person will experience
significant growth in personal sanctification and therefore, will
experience a closer personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ
and will become "complete in Christ." Colossians 1:28

Worship
Christ – Worshipping at Harvest is not just a
Sunday morning event, and is much more than singing the right songs. To
truly worship is to experience the sufficiency and express the
supremacy of Christ through a lifestyle of worship. (Psalm 9:1-2, Psalm
97, Romans 12:1-2) |
 |
Walk
with Christ – Walking with Christ is a multi
faceted discipline involving the faithful reading of God’s
Word, prayer and fellowship with other believers, “live a
life worthy of the calling you have received.” (Ephesians
4:1) We are committed to multiplying the godly characteristics of
leaders, lives into others. |

Work for
Christ – The disciples of Jesus Christ should
minister to one another in a local church. This is the work of all
disciples, not just that of the pastors. There are many different way
to serve and minister to others in Christ; everyone is called to serve
in the capacity they have been gifted with. (Luke 19:11-27) |
|
We believe that all
disciples of Jesus Christ should minister to one another in the local
church, rather than just the pastors bearing total responsibility to
care for the entire congregation. God has given spiritual gifts to all
of His people to provide mutual ministry in the context of the healthy
and strong local church. Ephesians 4:11-12.
Our three part Encounter
series is intended to equip you with the foundational aspects of how to
worship, walk with, and work for Christ, as well as to encourage
continued growth in these key areas.
